I was attempting to reach Bob Owens and just became aware that he had passed away. I am sorry to hear that. In Feb. 2014 Bob ran a story on Bearingarms.com that generated a lot of debate. It involved our department, the Senoia Police Department, switching from the .40 cal Glock 22 to the 9mm Glock 17. I wanted to let Bob know that after three years of using the 9mm, our department experienced an overall improvement of range scores by + 7%. And that since making the change, no officer has failed to qualify. Just wanted to share what I had discovered after comparing the range scores for the last several years.
